#Energy Exelon Corporation announced on Wednesday that it will acquire Pepco Holdings in a $6.8 billion all-cash transaction to create a mega-utility serving the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. The new company will be the largest utility in the U.S. in terms of customers served.
