Midland Valley of Scotland has up to 134.6 trillion cubic feet of shale gas below ground, according to British Geological Survey

Shale gas reserves in Scotland are a fraction of those in northern England, a new study shows.

Published on Tuesday, the survey is the third in a series of reports by the British Geological Survey (BGS) to map shale gas and oil reserves across the UK.
