Lake Kenyir OVERFLOWS, flood situation worsens

Excess water in Tasik Kenyir overflowed through the Sultan Mahmud Hydroelectric Dam spillway after breaching its maximum level of 145m at 1pm yesterday. State Health, Women, Family and Community Development committee chairman Mohd Pehimi Yusof said Tenaga Nasional had informed the state government about the latest water-level readings at Tasik Kenyir.
