3 meetings set on planned central Ill. power line

A Texas company will hold public meetings in central Illinois next week to talk about a proposed electric transmission line that could affect land owners in Clark, Cumberland and Shelby counties. The Mattoon Journal-Gazette reports that Houston-based Clean Line Energy is developing a 750-mile overhead, direct-current transmission line to deliver wind power from Kansas to Illinois and other states.
