San Antonio's energy industry may be a drop in the bucket compared to other high-end energy markets such as Houston and Dallas. But the Alamo City's stature as an energy mecca has grown by leaps and bounds over the past several years as more local companies have tapped into major oil-and-gas resource plays like the Eagle Ford Shale and as bigger players set up field operations to serve the shale region.
